Kenneth Brock:  

Life I grew up in Arizona in Phoenix. I attended school at Whittier elementry until 1948 and then went to North Phoenix until my Senior year. I took every chance I could get to go to Northern Arizona where I spent many years at Morman Lake, Flagstaff, Oak Creek Canyon, camping out and just enjoying the out of doors. I moved to Illinois my senior year,graduated there.Played varsity football as a tackle,ran track and set several school records and one state record. After graduating I enrolled at Southern Illinois Univ. The next summer we moved to Alaska I worked as a teamster to make enough money to return to college. Went back to Illinois and attended the University of Southern Illinos for 2 years. Went to Korea for 2 years and back to college in Ill. Went back to Alaska to make enough money to buy a car,got married instead ,went to Texas as a Dairy farmer with my Brother-in-law and sister,hated it ,went to college at Sul Ross State University in West Texas as far away from Dairies as I could get and still be in the state.Graduated with a bachelors in architectual drafting and a Masters in Education. I Taught all levels of school, college, highschool and middle school but no elementry, for 41yrs.retired in 2000. Just spent 10 days camping in Colo. and now a month in Woodenville ,Wash. What a blast this life. has been. Got bored with doing nothing so went back to work on a project with the School District where we have developed distant learning classes with the local Community College in tool and die and machinery maintenance.This keeps me busy and out of trouble. Next year I will proctor those classes for two hours a day. The vocational director for the district decided that he needed me to do other work and so I am now a Project Specialist and visit all of the secondary schools where I help solve te...Expand for more
