When I got out of the Navy I went to work For Delco Remy, later on to be named Delphi Automotive Systems. I worked there for 34 years then they closed the plant. In 1971 my friend Frank Belanger and I built a stock car started racing at Corona Raceway. I drove figure 8 and in 1983 we won the track championship. They closed the track in 84. When I retired in 2005 Frank Belanger, Frank Cawthon, and I started getting together on Thursdays and work on old cars restoring them. We also built a drag car for a race track to be built in Banning. We built the car but they never built the track. Last year I bought a street stock dirt car and we set it up to run figure 8.
