Kenneth's Story
Graduated class of S' 64. Enlisted in U.S. Naval
Reserve in April '64 (just prior to graduation). Started attending L.A.V.C.C. but did not complete 1st year.
Went on active duty in 1966; spent a year on Adak Island, Alaska. Transferred to Naval Security Group Activity, Imperial Beach, CA. Re-enlisted and switched to U.S.N. from U.S.N.R. transferred to USS Oxford off the coast of South Viet Nam, luckily for me I only spent a few months "in country" before the Oxford was decommissioned. From there I played globetrotter with duty stations at NSGA Rota, Spain, NTTC Pensacola, FL, NSGA Winter Harbor, ME, NSGD Diego Garcia, BIOT, NSGA Homestead AFB, FL, NSGA Clark AB, Phillippines, NSGA Adak Island, Ak, NAVSUPPACT Seattle, WA, finally back to NSGA Winter Harbor, ME. I was medically retired in January 1986.

est Harbor, ME and have been here since.
I started working for a local automobile dealership where i was able to use some of my computer skills; I stayed there for 14 years. I then went into direct retail sales at a local RadioShack outlet and stayed there for an additional 12+ years. I did find myselt in a position where I couldn't stay out of a uniform and joined the Civil Air Patrol (the civiliian auxillary of the US Air Force) and finally retired with the grade of LtCol in 2009 after 22 more years in uniform.
I finally pulled the plug and retired in April 2011. Since retirement I've played a lot of golf and become involved with two of the newer shooting sports: Cowboy Action Shooting and Cowboy Fast Draw Shooting.
I have two childfren, both out on their own, and now two grandchildren and look forward to spending lots of time with them.
