Kenneth's Story
Life
Although my life hasn't really turned out the way I thought it would, I'm very happy at this point in my life, and I wouldn't change anything.
I attended Eastern Arizona College from August, 1987 to December, 1989. I then transferred to Western New Mexico University in January, 1990. I graduated from WNMU in May, 1992, with a BS in Human Services and Psychology. I originally intended to transfer to the University of Arizona after going to EAC, but, as the saying goes, stuff happened, and I ended up at Western New Mexico. This was a blessing in disguise for me. I trully enjoyed my time at WNMU, and I graduated with honors.
After college, I found a job with the Arizona Department of Economic Security in Safford. I worked there from 1993 until I retired in 2024. I thought that I would end up in Tucson or Phoenix after college, but I came to the realization that city life i...Expand for more
sn't for me. I'm fortunate to have found a job close to home. I can't really see myself living anywhere else but Safford.
In late 1995, I met the love of my life. Her name is Giane (pronounced Guy-Ann), and we got married on September 20, 1997 in Las Vegas. We were blessed to spend nearly 18 years as husband and wife, until Giane’s unexpected death in 2015. I have a stepdaughter named Jennifer, and 3 stepgrandchildren, Vanessa, Nathan and Marissa. (My wife happened to be 14 years older than me, for those who may be wondering about this).
I enjoy spending time with my family, and pursuing my hobbies, which include collecting shot glasses and baseball caps, and anything to do with my favorite band, KISS.
Although it's been over 20 years since I graduated from Clifton High, I still have fond memories of that time in my life. I still keep in touch with a few fellow Trojans.
