Kenneth's Story
Life
After high school I worked in the area for four years. In 1978 I joined the U.S. Coast Guard, serving for 18 years as a cook. I served tours in Eureka, Calif.; Honolulu, Hawaii; New Orleans, Louisiana; Portsmouth, New Hampshire. I also served temporary tours on a 82 foot patrol boat out of Fort Bragg, California; at the Coast Guard Small Boat school in Cape Disappointment, Wash; Barbers Point, Hawaii; Base Honolulu as a cook and at Support Center Boston, Massachusetts as one of the Computer Techs. In 1996 I retired as an E6. I then tried my luck in automobile sales for 3.5 years in the New Orleans, Louisiana area. In January 2000 I moved to Salt Lake City, UT to be near family. In 2006 I became a Great-Grandpa! Wow! How time flies when you are having fun...I worked in food service management for 2 years leaving the food service industry in 2002 after earning a Utah Real Estate Agent license. I am affiliated with Keller Williams Success Realty, located in South Ogden, Utah. On May 6, 2005 I graduated from Salt Lake Community College with an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Paralegal Studies. After working in a law office as a Paralegal for a year I decided to return to school. I am attending Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. I am pursuing a Bachelors Art Degree in Commercial Spanish and Bachelor Science in Accounting. I received an Associate Art in General Studies in April 2012. I will be graduating on May 1, 2015. I have plans of returning and pursuing a Masters in Professional Communication. Looking forward to hearing from any of you.
