Kennieth's Story
Life
Married for 48 years in June 2022 to Ralph Nasalroad.
Two sons - Doug, age 46 in June 2022 - he's married to Alyssa, and they have 2 sons and 2 daughters.
Eric, age 44 in January 2022 - he is married to Brooke, and they have 3 sons.
That makes me a grandmother to seven - the last two cousins were born on the same day.
Worked for 16 years as General Manager of an import company, then started my next (and last) career in administration with the University of California in 1992. Retired in 2014. My husband owns his own business - Sequoia Bark Sales - son Doug is the IT guru for State Center College District (and plays guitar for a local praise and worship team), and son Eric teaches at Reedley College and coaches his sons sports. SO, I try to keep up with my family. Not near a description of all they do as they are both so involved with their churches, their children, and their hobbies.
I am into genealogy - since 1981 - and have a database of over...Expand for more
65,000 which does include both Alyssa and Brooke's family lines. I also started quilting after I retired. My all time longest hobby is reading. Ralph and I also enjoy working in our yard - we have 2-1/2 acres which includes an Autumn Royal grape vineyard and a dozen vegetable garden boxes.
I love to hear from my classmates and old friends. It is really interesting to see where we all are now - 50 years or so later.
School
Two teachers at Carson High inspired me the most - Mr. Pappas and Mr. Scott. Moving from small town James Island (high school (in Charleston, SC) with about 300 students) to big town Carson (with so many people in my class that I'm sure I never met them all) was a major culture shock. First day of school - all of the new kids were lined up alphabetically, I guess, because I connected with Susan Baldwin and Susan Barr. Drill Team and Track Team were great. Does anyone else remember that every class seemed to have seating in alpha order?
