Kennis Ray's Story
I went to Powell Elementary grades 1 through 8, then went to Gibbs High 9 through 12, graduated in 1962. Worked at Magnavox, Grocery store and construction until Sept 63 then went in Army. Was in Alaska until August 65. Started working at Alcoa Aluminum Co in Sept. 65 and retired Jan 07. after 41 yrs. xcept for time in Army. I still laugh about what the counselor said concerning what I would do in life. Her idea for my life was that I would either work at a gas station or flip burgers. I did mechanical maintenace the most of my 41 yrs. at Alcoa. There were some great people during my time in school and work.I have a lot of respect and admiration for several of my classmates and fellow workers. God has been good to me and I thank him for it.
