Kenneth's Story
Hey ya'll, hope you're doing great! I'm looking forward to our 50th reunion next year. I'll keep my story short. After high school attended NU for a year or so, enlisted in the Marines and made a career of it (22 years), after retiring from the Marines I worked as a Program Director for Volunteers of America North Alabama for about 7 years, after that I worked as an outpatient Treatment Director for Bradford Health Services, Inc. for a year before entering private practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor for about five years. Went back to work for the government following 9/11 (tried initially to go back into the Marines, but was told I was too old and too broken). So I did what I could do and worked as a front line addictions treatment provider for 12 years for the Army before retiring from the government. with Health Net Government Services and am currently working various overseas assignments as a Military Family Life Consultant and Counselor.
I also got married and helped raise three children and have seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, but that will increase to 3 great grandchildren as I learned just today.
Please pray for our troops and their families as these remain most challenging times.
Hope to see as many classmates as possible at our 50th. Sherri, Terry and I are planning traveling from Dallas to the reunion.
IT WAS A GREAT REUNION!!! 10 of the 14 of us were able to be present. Missed the others for sure, but really enjoyed the fellowship with those that were able to be there. It was a long way to travel there and back from the Philippines, but worth it just to get to see my fellow classmates. Let's do it again sometime!!!
