C-Nels: "Hey, Kent, is everything going ok? I mean, it just seems like you're kind of out of your element."
Me: "Yeah, I just didn't have enough time to read the entire chapter last night."
C-Nels: "Ok, that's what I thought."
*Claire, Oppie, and I are cleaning up water that came out of the cooler that I spilled at a UIL invitational, and we are using a bajillion paper towels in the process. An academics coach from a different school approaches.*
Coach: "Hey, what happened here?"
Me: "Oh, I was just in a hurry and the cooler was pulling away and I accidentally let go, so all of this water got on the floor."
Coach:"......stupid........" *walks away*
Me:"Claire, Oppie, is the situation stupid or am I stupid?"
McKinney in Cold War: "Okay, are all of the smart people done? Are all the beautiful people done? Okay, I guess that leaves Zach."
Zach Checkeye: "wait...huh?"
McKinney: "Nothing, Zach. Nothing."
McKinney: "Okay, Zimbabwe has an excellent literacy rate but an awful life expectancy. So, basically you can read, but not for long."
