Kerri's Story
Life
Right after high school I started college at Miami University. I graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business (Management Information Systems). I started working full time for Cintas as a Programmer/Analyst in E-Commerce. In 2001 I started Graduate School at Miami part-time, still working full-time (aka 'no life'). I left Cintas in 2002 and started working for Fifth Third Bank as Business Analyst for online banking systems. It didn't take too long before I realized I needed to work closer to where I took classes, so I ended up getting a job at Miami in 2003, working in the IT group as a Programmer. At last, I finished my Master's Degree (MBA in Management) in 2003 as well. Then one more job change in 2004. I took on a new position as a System Administrator at Miami and this is where I am at today. Needless to say, I've been busy :-)
School
My craziest, happiest and funniest memories: Every single band camp but especially senior year when we scattered across camp attempting to outrun and hide from Mr. Moonitz when we were out waaaay past curfew. One of the happiest memories was getting a "superior" rating at state competition for 3 of 4 years, and also getting a "superior" in the field commander category and winning best drum major at the regional competitions. our amazing crinkle labs and the fact that my group worked out a system where 1 person did the lab and the rest of us copied the answers -- It was great because everyone else in the class was busy working away and most of my group was having a good old time (and we got A's, too) :) We also can't forget "narficism!!" And, I can't forget Mr. Bowling's Chemistry class when Jessica Morehouse and I turned on the water hose in the lab but much to our surprise, it starting spraying out of control and sprayed Mr. Bowling across the face! I remember sneaking past Mr. Young and Mr. Lyttle in the mornings as they did their daily "acceptable short length" inspections. I also have fond memories of Mrs. Moffitt's Spanish 1 class with Dale and Sid, and the gigantic chalk dust attack that made the classroom look like a disaster zone. And who can deny the fact that we had pizza every single day for lunch?? Good memories of good old Ross High.....
College
Miami University: B.S. Business Administration (Management Information Systems) in 2000, MBA (Management) in 2003.
Workplace
I work as a System Administrator at Miami University. The system I preside over secures campus buildings, facilitates monetary transactions with vending machines, manages meal plans for students, and on and on..... I also administer and support the ID card machines on the 3 campuses.
