Kevin's Story
Well where does one start? After graduating from Broadway Jr High, we moved to the Vailsburg section of Newark. Went to Vailsburg (Hooterville) High and graduated in 1982.
After graduation, I started at NJIT majoring in Computer Science. During my 2nd year my mom passed away and I lost my focus. Joined the Navy's Nuclear Power Program and spent 13.5 years in the Navy, 8 on submarines as a nuclear power plant operator/supervisor. I was stationed at bases up and down the east coast, Maine, Connecticut, Upstate New York, Virginia, and Florida.

wo boys and a girl. After 18 years we were divorced. Moved to South Carolina in 1998 and later joined the Army Reserves. My unit was deployed in 2004 to Kuwait in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Spent a year over there in the sandbox (got the T-shirt).
Currently working as a manager for a former nuclear weapons processing facility and as a Army Warrant Officer. Here in the south they say there are two types of Yankees; the ones that visit are just plain ole Yankees, but the ones that stay are "damn Yankees". I guess you can say I'm a damn Yankee, cause I enjoy it down here.
