Kevin's Story
Life: I'm retired and living in Yorba Linda, California.
Past President of the Orange County Wine Society, located in the OC Fairgrounds. We have over 1000 members, and (in normal years) we have several social events during the year. We run the Commercial Wine Competition and the Home Wine Competition for the OC Fair, and we run the Wine Courtyard, selling wine during the OC Fair.
My Previous Career: IT Project Manager at Kaiser Permanente's Data Center in Corona, and Los Angeles County's IT Department.
I am an Army Major (retired), having spent 22 years in the Army Reserve in both Military Intelligence and Data Processing.
Fun Stuff: For the past 5 years, I have been the Chairman for the Home Wine Competition for the OC Fair.

I'm a home winemaker, and I produce about 500 bottles per year, including varietals such as Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay, and fruit wines such as Grapefruit, Lime (yumm!), Strawberry, Cherry and Guava. In recent Home Wine Competitions in Orange County, Sacramento and San Diego, I have earned multiple Gold and Silver Medals for my wines!
Currently, my 2020 vintage includes Cabernet Franc in a French Oak Barrel, Malbec Rose' in a French Oak barrel, and Dolcetto in an Hungarian Oak barrel. My 2019 vintage is bottled, and includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, and a blend Cab Sauv/Sangio. All are tasting FABULOUS !

In my past life, I retired after 22 years in the Army Reserve as a Major.
I graduated from CSU Los Angeles in 1977 with a major in Business Administration.
