Kevin's Story
Life
Hello. I was the nomad of America in High School, but eventually graduated in 1979 from Moapa Valley H.S. in Overton Nevada. My birth father lived in Moapa. His name is Milton Embry. Step Mom was Velda Embry. My a sister, Kerry Heindorf, married and divorced Curt Stevens who also is from that area. Remember the Moose Lodge of course. The week after I graduated, I moved to Florida where I stayed for 20 years (Tampa Bay area) and now I'm back in my home town of Chicago Illinois and I'm here to stay. Did a stunt as a staff auditor for Equity Office Properties, but now currently am a Purser Flight Attendant for American Airlines. Well, the 401(K) wasn't growing as fast as I'de like it and after 9/11, I decieded to go back to school and try my hand at one more career that can make some quick money and be of value, so as of May 2008, I should be a registered nurse.
I've never married, never fathered any children came out of the closet two weeks after graduation...Expand for more
in June of 1979. Was never really a rainbow flag waiving type of gay man, but have sure done my part over the years to promote equality for everyone... "let someone else carry the torch these days" is my saying.
Currently have a great life, always wonder who is still around in Overton Moapa Valley. I remember family names like the Marshalls, the Perkins, the Stevens the Wallaces. My nickname back in 1979 was "Disco". Is Cynthia Harris or was it Cynthis Wallace still around? Did HairBear do his stint in the Armed Forces? Do kids still smoke pot in the bushes between the school and the Lost City Cafe? Did they ever find out who ever took the quarters from the pinball machines at that mom and pop Dairy Queen type place? Looking back turns out those Latter Day Saints were much cooler people than they were given credit for. Still not converted though. If interested. If you email though, you better put something familar in the subject area or I'll think it's spam.
