Kevin's Story
I was in Gelnhausen Elementary from the first through third grade from 1974 - 1977. I lived as an Army brat in a barracks on Carl-Schurz-Strasse, and walked 5-10 min to GES on Washington Strasse (if I'm looking at Google Earth correctly). Comic books and marble games were huge for my friends and me. William Hunnicutt (spelling?) was my best friend in Gelnhausen, and I remember the Holts (Steven, Cindy, and David). ished a school time Volksmarch way early (I think we ran ahead for part of the 10 kilometers) and got in trouble with the school for being missing. Miss Arnold (first grade) and Miss Metter (spelling?) were my favorite teachers. My Dad got transferred to Ft McPherson, Ga in the summer of 1977, and after bouncing around Maryland and Georgia with my family I graduated from Mays High School in Atlanta, and went to Georgia Tech. I'm now in the pharmaceutical industry in NJ with my wife Laura of 18 yrs and our 3 kids.
