Kevin's Story
I transferred to Our Lady of Mercy in the 4th Grade. I remember all the games we played in the school yard and always getting in trouble for continuing to play after the school bell was rung (games weren't over until someone won, LOL)... sitting in the Cafeteria eating the so so tasting food....my class winning a pizza party for selling the most chocolate bars in the school....Ms Taylor and Ms. Harrington (she got married during this time but I can't remember her married name)....Class trips to DC and NY... still remember it all. After graduation most of the class either went to Roman or Hallahan High School, but I wanted new experiences, so I went to Central. This was during the time that Central first started allowing girls to attend. After high school, I had a few jobs here and there before decided to join the Army. I traveled around the world a few times (the smaller islands of Japan were the best) I came back to PA in the 90s, graduated from the University of Phoenix, watched both of my nephews finish grade school and high school. I've moved back to N. Philly a few years ago, I now have a five year old girl (going on 35) who is my world.
