Life
Ok, well I took the sucker offer Gold membership thing w/the "free gift" mags (what a great ploy!). I picked Kiplinger's Personal Finance and Food & Wine. So what does that tell you about me & what I'm like now? I like to make money so I can eat tasty gourmet food & drink good wine!? Well, partly true, but that's not all...
I'm still living just a short trip down the road from LB, in beautiful, getting-very-expensive-to-live, San Diego. (from whence I originated prior to my spell at LBHS) About 4 years ago I met my current boyfriend, Gary. We live together in the funky beach town of Leucadia with his two boys (Willie, 17 and James, 13) and we just had our first baby girl, Kelly Irene, in June 2005! She is an absolute angel baby and we are all having a great time with our new little addition. We also have a cute persian kitty named Archie. We are one big happy family!
After HS, I struggled for 9 years to get my college degree - working f/t, getting married, then divorced, moving around, changing my major, and a little laziness here and there all attributed to the drawn ou...Expand for more
t accomplishment. But I finally graduated Magna cum laude from National University w/a degree in Behavioral Science. After a few years working in the SD school districts, I went to work for SDSU Foundation for the Business School & discovered my great interest and talent for business, marketing in particular. After a couple years there, I enrolled in and graduated from the SDSU MBA program in '99. From '99 until early '05 I worked for Kontron, a computer manufacturying company, as a Product Manager in the Marketing Dept managing the rackmount computer systems product lines. As with many companies these days, they went through a major restructuring and I was laid off.
Luckily, I have also had my real estate license for a couple years, so I am now a Realtor for Century 21 part-time while also spending a good amount of time at home with my baby. (I do still dream of being a famous rock & blues singer one day, but I settle for the occasional kareoke performance!)
