Kim's Story
I have lived in southern California about 20 miles sw of LA since 1985. I have one son, Devon, age 32. He got his Bachelor's Degree at University of Colorado, Boulder, majoring in Biochemistry and Neuroscience and graduated magna cum laude. He minored in Business and Chemistry. He is a son to brag about! Doesn't take after me academically at all! But I will take credit for being a great mom! He got his Master’s Degree from University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical studying Biochemistry and Biotechnology. Rachel has her PhD in Immunology. August 15, 2021 was the big day when Devon and Rachel got married.They love living in Colorado, especially in winter when they can ski ⛷. Switzerland was their destination of choice to honeymoon in winter. No surprise there. We visit them often. satellites), for 20 years (on stock exchange) which we sold in November 2010. Retirement is great! Lots of time for traveling and relaxing. We also have several beautiful cars that we take to a lot of meets and shows. From our patio deck, we have a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean, beautiful sunsets, Catalina Island and the Channel Islands. Now we are starting to make plans to get a house in Sarasota, FL. My parents lived there for 30 years, and we got married there. We’ll probably keep our CA home too, for the time being. I never thought my life would turn out like this, and I'd be so fortunate and happy! I hope you are all having a happy and healthy life! Looking forward to our 50th reunion, if we can make it happen!
p.s. the picture with me in the tie-dyed t-shirt was for a 50-year celebration of Woodstock a few summers ago. My husband actually went! He was going to college in upstate NY at the time.
