Life
Hello to everyone!!
I live in Lewisport, Kentucky; a very small rivertown on the mighty Ohio River. Have been married to my 2nd husband, Rick, for 18 years. We each brought 2 sons into the marriage: Brandon - now 33 & Nicholas - 28 {Rick's} and my sons are Kristopher - 22 & Allen - 21.
I have been a Registered Nurse for 21+ yrs, am also a Forensic Nurse, currently in the University of Cincinnati's Graduate College of Nursing earning my Nurse Practitioner degree, and owned my video rental/tanning salon business for 13 years which I sold October 2008. I am proud to be an Air Force Veteran. I was injured during training and received an Honorable Medical Discharge.
I dearly love my "critters" - 3 dogs: 1 Pomeranian, Lexie, age 12, who sleeps in the middle of my bed at night...Expand for more
! Outside: 1 Malamute ("Hoss Dog") age 5, & 1 who-knows-breed ("Foobie") age 12, & 1 cat ("Miss Soxy") age 13. Our beloved tea-cup pomeranian, Autumn Leaves, passed away in June 2007 at the age of 12. My pets are loved like children.
I lost an important man in my life Christmas Day 1999 - my father died unexpectedly while at my house for the holidays of a massive heart attack. I miss him so much ... but I have healed and have adjusted to not receiving his big "teddy bear" hugs. My mother moved to Indianapolis in August of 2002 and moved to Tell City, Indiana March of 2010.
I am currently working on a medical/surgical unit at a small hospital in Tell City, Indiana. Eventually, I will earn my Doctoral degree in nursing. Never too old to go to college!! I'm really enjoying it!
