No,that "then" picture is not really me...it is one of my daughter's drawings. I have two very creative brilliant kids. I wish I had a tenth of their gifts. I am divorced, mother of two fantastic teenagers/college students. Living in Cumberland, Rhode Island - in a country setting (between Boston and Providence on the Massachusetts border). My back yard backs up to the oldest war memorial (King Philips war - 1600's) - in the woods behind my house. It also was a monastery....how fitting as I am living like a nun these days. Okay, well, not quite my friend who lives by James Woods home has pushed me (literally) into going to a new social group she started for 45 and over singles in Rhode Island. Very interesting group of people from all walks of life...retired CEO's of major corporations and regular Joes (not the plumber - the majority seem to be liberal like me). I am trying to write a book with a friend (an English grad of Brown U) which is fictional but based on facts. Our combined life stories are stranger than fiction - we don't feel anyone would believe it if we wrote it as non-fiction. I want Meryl Streep to play me in the movie (oh yeah...like that is going to happen). When I am not working I am busy with volunteer work.
