Kim's Story
Life
Hello to all! Its been a while, hard to beleive at times. Im just looking for old friends that I havent heard from in a while. You know who you are, so e mail okay?
My life now?........
I have a wonderful daughter, and husband. Without them my life would not be complete.
I am still in Sonora. I moved away to the Bay area in 1989 and came back 2 years later. My entire family was here, and still is. I could not be away from them, nor did I really want to. I wanted to raise my daughter here at home, not some where else.
I still love to read, you never see me without a book, not even when I am playing bingo!! Yep I am a bingo junkie :)
I would not change a thing that has happened to me. Everything happens for a reason. What doesn't kill us makes us grow stronger, and I surely learned that at high school!!!
Wanna know more?? hehehe Got to write to me then. Now on to Schools............
School
School, WOW, seems like forever ago, but just yesterday at times too.
Most of you who knew me, knew me as Mario's girl, what a wonderful man he was. I truly miss him.
The one teacher who really inspired and helped me was Mrs. Munyer at Sonora High, all the thanx in the world to her!!
My best times were hanging out at the deli with my friends. They did not care what you looked like, or what you were into. They liked you for who who were, unlike a lot of other people I knew.
The craziest time? Too easy.....Remem...Expand for more
ber the big fight at the deli? Stoners and red necks. Aren't you all glad we have put that behind us?
My favorite class was probably Crafts with Mr. Eaton, made lots of Cool stuff, wish I could take that class again right now.
Ahhhh, memory lane, it can grab you when you least expect it.
Off to college............
College
College for me was Columbia Jr. College. I met lots of interesting people there. My best friend John (JP) I met there, he was from Napa and I was and am blessed to know him,I can't thank him enough for all he has done for me.
Since I lived here, I had no roommates, but he sure did! My gosh!! So tiny. I took the culinary courses, which is where I met JP, we did lots there. We catered, got in a fight, threw mousse at each other, then laughed about it. It is a great time to remember.
Off to work UGH....................
Workplace
So many jobs.....Burger king, micky D's, Mooies, I was a maid at most of our hotels, don't care to do that again! When I lived in The Bay area I worked at a placed called Oh Fudge. Wonderful. All home made chocolates, fudges...YUMMY
For the last nine years I have worked at our senior center preparing meals on wheels to home bound people. I am now head cook there. It is a wonderful feeling to help others in need. I love the people I work with, they are family to me.
So know you know some about me and what I have been up to. Write to me some time if ya want. I'd love to hear from you!!
