Kim's Story
Life
My life has been devoted to education, and I have taught in two elementary schools, one middle school, three high schools, and four universities. I like to travel and have been around the world twice and especially like to visit India and the Fiji Islands. I presently live in the Middle East where I teach and from which I expect to retire in a few years. I have been happily married for 19 years to Manjula Devi Hester from the Fiji Islands. My major avocational interest is religion; I am a devout Roman Catholic and am a member of the Confraternity of Mary Queen of All Hearts, the Confraternity of the Holy Rosary, and the Association of the Miraculous Medal. I have undergone: (a) the Montfortian total consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, (b) the investiture in the Miraculous Medal, and (c) the investiture in the brown scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. ama, Bahrain. I also enjoy outdoor life, including hiking, camping, and traveling. I am a former U.S. Marine and am a life member of America Mensa and the Republican National Committee.
P.S. 2/14/2017 I now am back in the States living in Oregon and woking at Pacific University. Glad to be out of the Middle East.
P.S. 6/22/2018 Have retired as an educator and now spend my time writing. Have earned a certificate in fiction writing from Gotham Writers' Workshop and a certificate in novel writing from Stanford University. My debut novel set to be published mid August 2018 is titled Bête Brune (Brown Beast): The Saga of Judith Sanders. More information can be found at kimhesterauthor.com.
