Kim's Story
Life
In 1958, my parents were transferred from Hawaii to Annandale, Virginia, where I graduated from High School (My maiden name was Clark, although I went by step-dad's name, Johnson, in Hawaii). Lived in Northern Virginia until 1992, then relocated (with younger of two daughters) to Marietta, GA. Older daughter in Cary, NC. has two great boys, 14 and 12, and younger daughter here in Georgia has twin grandbabies, Noah and Ansley who be 6 in October, and another little girl, Sophie Marie, 3 in December.
Retired early so I could babysat twin grandbabies until they were 2-1/2 and really was glad I had the opportunity to enjoy that time with them. When ...Expand for more
they could outrun me, gave them back to mom who started them in preschool.
My highschool sweetheart Bob Bedinger, from 1956 Hawaii, came to Atlanta to stay with me in late 1998. He was Grandpa to all my grandkids and they will forever miss him. He passed away from cancer in March of 2009, and it seems awfully quiet without him.
Am getting to be a pretty good potter, and I am really enjoying this very creative hobby. Have recently begun metalsmithing, making jewelry, and I am enjoying that very much also. I have my two old dogs and one new kitten. I'm in good health, thanks to good genes. Hope to keep learning new crafts for a long, long time....!
