Kimberly's Story
Life
After High School I worked at a small electronics company in Redmond. I then moved to Phoenix, AZ to attend DeVry Institute of Technology where I graduated as an Electronics Technician. I married, had 1 daughter, Heidi, and was divorced when she was still a baby. I had a great job at Hewlett-Packard as an Electronics Technician in Lake Stevens, WA where I stayed for nearly 10 years. At Hewlett-packard I met and married Mike Edwards and we have been married for over 21 years. It's been rocky, but hanging in there.
When I left HP I chose to home-school my daughter through her middle school years. We were part of a home school co-op and I participated by teaching Latin and Drama to the middle school aged children. That was so much fun and I don't know who learned more, me or the children.
When we were finished home-schooling I started my own home-based custom sewing business called My Seamstress making custom women's clothing and home decor, and teaching sewing classes. ife until Heidi was out of high school.
I currently work full time at Comcast in Lynnwood as a call center Technical Support Supervisor. I live in Arlington with Mike, my 3 cats and a dog. My daughter, Heidi, lived in Orlando, FL. for almost 6 years and recently moved back to Wasington to live and find work. I attend First Baptist Church in Everett where I was involved in choir and played Clarinet and Tenor Sax in the orchestra for a number of years. I hope to eventually have a work schedule that would allow me to pick up my music again in some sort of community group.
I have recently taken up helicopter flying and hope to complete lessons and have my Pilot's license in the next couple of years. My hope would be to move to Eastern Washington somewhere and use flying to start my next career either in sightseeing tours or search & rescue (or both).
Life is good - not perfect, but good. This past year has brought a lot of healing from past regrets, personal growth, and discovery of what the future could hold.
I wish the best to everyone who visits. Let me know how you are doing, too.
