Kimberly's Story
Kimberly is from Gastonia, North Carolina. Kimberly is married with Ric Franklin. Kimberly's schools include Paw Creek Christian Academy. More about Kimberly:"My name is Kim Franklin. My family consists of Ric, my husband of 22 years who I’m still head over heels in love with, my best friend and only TRUE LOVE; Adrian, our talented 20-year-old son; Arielle, our lovely 16-year-old daughter.
I am an ordained minister in the Church of God and Co-Youth Minister at South Gastonia Church of God. I also teach Jr. & Sr. High School Bible, Life Skills, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra I at Victory Christian Academy where I am also the Athletic Director.
My father, Bobby Gilley, has been and still is my role model. He is very wise, understanding, and compassionate toward everyone he meets. He preaches with a great anointing and follows the leading of the Holy Spirit in every service. As a pastor, he is kind and loving with his sheep, yet firm and consistent. I am very blessed to have such a great dad, pastor, and mentor.
I received the call to preach in 1996 during a powerful six-week revival with Rev. Diane Collins who I miss dearly. The call scared me to death at first, and then God began working on me, preparing me for ministry through teaching at VCA and leading youth ministry with my husband, Ric. In 1996, I was shy and scared to speak in front of people, now you can’t stop me. I will open my mouth for Christ every chance I get.
The Holy Spirit has blessed me with an anointing to preach and pray for others. I am only a vessel for Him to use and work through. The closer I get to Him the more I want. HE is my EVERYTHING, my VERY BREATH of LIFE, and without HIM, I am nothing.
My husband and I have been the youth ministers of Xtreme Focus Student Ministries for the past 15 years. We have a great group of kids & leaders after God’s own heart. They have blessed us just by being a part of our lives. Through our combined dedication and commitment, we have been blessed with awesome worship services. The Holy Spirit moves mightily every week as students are saved, sanctified, filled with the Spirit, delivered, have needs met, and grow closer to God. Our youth also share a heart for missions which has enabled us to go beyond the walls of church and reach out to the community and beyond through special mission trips.".
