Kimberly's Story
I always wanted to be a travel agent when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a bad idea. As it turns out, they were right.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have coffee in the morning, a good night's rest, and a clear head to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
I am suprised that I have decided not have kids, when I was younger I always wanted 1 of each, but as I got older, I started to really enjoy my freedom to do as I please. The way the world is today, I know I have made the right choice for me, it's not I don't like kids( Ihave plenty of friends that have them, when I need a kid fix), I just know I would be always worrying about them and truthfully I'm unsure if I could handle it. Plus the idea of giving birth does not sit well.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the kitchen and add on a sun room. My dream home would be an old victorian with a wrap around porch.
The teacher I would most like to see again would be Cindy Debottis, everyone wanted to take her class "Tools For Change". It was so different from the regular classes that we had to take. I think her class has shaped some of my perso...Expand for more
nality today. I think as I grew up I became more open-minded, less judgemental and started to really care about what goes on in the world, instead of just my world.
If I won $100 million, I'd give one third of it to charity, then spend the rest on family , friends and myself.
To be truly happy I would be retire early, just relaxing with my husband and fur kids in our dream home, taking the occasional trip, maybe volunteering for a good cause.
My current age is 40. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old fashioned. I was so completely wrong.
I am now working at a job that I love after 18 years at a place that gave me nothing but stress. It's not as involved as before, kind of starting over, but I look at it as a positive change and that money is not that important if you are unhappy in what you do. I can look at myself in the mirror again and actually like what I see. Stress is one of the most damaging things to person and can turn you into someone you really do not like.
In 10 years, I hope to be retired or working part time. I'm going to get there by paying off bills and not spending on un-needed items.
