kimberly's Story
since graduating placer in 1983 life has been quite a journey i am in my second marriage my first was bad but a learning experience I suppose in which I had my first daughter we left him and found the man I am married to now have been married to for 24 years now We started off in Bishop CA I guess one can say the real McCoy cause that's my name know which I have carried for over twenty four years now I had two more children one more girl and a son they are all grown now and I am going through empty nest but I also have two grandbabies Brooklyn who just turned 11 and kaden who is 6 brooke has turner syndrome and it is a mean disease but she is the angel from above she does not see the torment yet I know it is a matter of time. Well our journey started in Bishop CA as I said he worked the mines in that area then we moved to hawthorne NV still being a miners wife until they did big layoffs from there we went to riverside doing odd jobs to ends meet until we bought our first pizza pace in san bernadino ca and then bought a another got way over our heads got pregnant with son could not help out and husband could not be at both so we relied on the wrong people and went under so took the last of what we had and went back to bishop to stay with my dad while he went to the police academy picked up by hawthorne;s sheriffs dept. from there got to transfer to fallon NV in which we lived and liked for a while took in a exchange student from Germany which was a great experience but hard to say good bye knowing your odds of seeing them again was small then we saw things in the nv law enforcement in nv that was very ugly when they talk about how they could get away with murder and things disappear well it happens I could tell stories so my husband got job at the Peppermill as security and I got a job flying for allegiant airlines best job ever I got to go a...Expand for more
lmost every state in the us except Alaska which is in my bucket list he started at the bottom and went to the top he was the director of security really nice job talk about getting a opportunity to fill like a queen and getting the best customer service in any of the restaurants but it was stresfull for husband so another opportunity came up some friends offered us a deal to buy into there company which was mustang electric little did we know we were coned buy the time we figured that out they doctored up the books and we were fools left holding the fort so we liked our wounds and started our own business low Voltage Technologies we do security and cameras for most of reno we do home security we have been in business for about 7 years know and have seen a lot of companies like us come and go and we have managed to make it I will give you a example if you go into walmart and look up in the ceilings the wiring and cameras has mostly been done by my middle child Terrin and yes she is a girl, girl power she knows more then most of the techs in Reno it is hard for her to prove herself she gets a lot of gruff but she has been doing it since she was 16 she was getting in trouble so we put her to work and she learned it and she learning to deal with the older gentlemen who always want to challenge her very proud of her my son has been working it since he graduated but I want him to venture out for something different he is know 21 never put two many eggs in one basket well I guess that's about it in nutshell.
