Kimberly's Story
Life
Well life has been an adventure that's for sure. I went to SCSU for a while and then tried that "marry your high school sweetheart" thing and that didn't work out (big surprise there - yeah right - should have known in the beginning). Traveled for a while then met my wonderful husband (20 years and counting) and I am back in Connecticut. We have settled into to our home - although I am constantly remodling. We have a handsome son who is 8 years old now and our 3 beautiful daughters are 5, 4, & 3. In between all of that I inherited 2 of my best friend's children after she passe...Expand for more
d away at the age of 39. We also took in one of their friends, who unfortunately was killed 7 years ago while on vacation. The 2 others have since grown up and are having families of their own.
As for a career I have been through 6 major corporate takeovers, mergers and buyouts beginning with Travelers and ending with UnitedHealth Group. I now have a job with a company called EDS (Electronic Data Systems), as a Business Systems Analyst.
So, I didn't make lots of money or travel the world or become famous, but like Dorothy said in the Wizard of OZ "There's no place like home".
