Kimberly's Story
Life
This was updated on June 10, 2007...
Let's see . . . I graduated in 1980 from Heritage High School, Rockdale County, GA, and soon started at West Ga. College. I graduated from WGC in 1984 with degrees in Psychology and Sociology and proceeded to earn a Master's Degree in Psychology in 1985, making the Dean's List that year! I met my husband, Brian Martin, at WGC and we married May 2, 1987. I wasn't sure which field in Psychology I wanted to practice in so I decided to become a flight attendant for Delta Air Lines while I decided. Well, I guess all that traveling and time off spoiled me and I stayed there for 10 1/2 years, quitting only to become a stay at home mom when my son, Mitchell, was born.
As of this writing on July 17, 2008, Mitchell is now almost 13 (birthday is July 31st) and has a sister, Logan who is 10. They are wonderful ;) Before kids I was into golf with a passion and said I would start the babymaking if I could just win a major tournament- Well, I won low gross and low net in two sepa...Expand for more
rate club championships, back to back in Sept. 1994, and that was a sign I guess ;)
As far as hobbies go, I work out at the gym 4-5 days a week and I run a couple of days as well. I scrapbook and I am on each child's 5th book at the moment. That's a lot of work! My husband Brian is wonderful and he and I have a great time together. He's a super dad and the kids adore him ;) He works for a company called Polyair and still runs his own company from home. I am a stay at home mom, but I definitely wear several hats (especially chauffer!). I did insurance transcription from home part-time for 19 months, but found that it took more time than I expected, so I no longer do that. I was missing out on activities with my children. We stay busy with baseball, competitive cheerleading, piano for Logan and guitar for Mitchell and much more. Mitchell is ready to give basketball a try, so that's his next sport. Never a dull moment around our house! That's about it. Hard to sum up 31 years in 2000 characters or less :0
