Hi friends and old acquaintance Life has been a roller coaster of ups and downs. In January 1967, I married Larry Miller. We had a 2 bedroom apartment in Cambridge. I was working at NCR. He worked at Belden Brick.in Gnadenhutten. I walked 3 blocks to catch a ride to work. I had a puddle jumper, a green 1962 Rambler. He put a red racing stripe on it and it looked like a christmas present. He thought it was a race car since it had a clutch. Soon it was pull into a gas station, check the gas and fill with oil. He and ny dad went car shopping. They bought a Musting. We had it about a month when he left for basic training. My brother John and my brother-in-law Butch bought the Pleasant City Bottling Co. The man who owned it requested they continue with the original name. All was going well until the electric co. said Pleasant City Bottling Co. owed a past due bill of several hundred dollars. Soon notices came from all the utilities and places they got the items needed to actually make the pop. That was such a shock. They were doing so well financially but not enough to pay off the former owners bills. John had been in the Air Force and he rejoined. Butch got a job in a few days. Sandy''s family and i moved home with Mom and Dad. They found a house in a few days. I stayed a month. Larry had been assigned to the Judge Advocate General's Office because he was the only one who could type. I was allowed to go to South Carolina to live with him.. We lived there until Christmas. I was pregnant. I went home with Mom and Dad again. I was 6 months pregnant. Wendy Sue Miller was 9 months old before Larry saw her. We has small tape recorders to communicate with. I had his picture on her changing table. She wasn't at all afraid of him when he came home. He had another year to go in the Army. We went to Fort Bragg, N.Carolina.He was assigned to the Judge Advocate General's office again. He worked a part time job all the time we were there. We bought a new mobile home because he had enough promotions to have it moved home on military money. At christmas, when we came home we looked for a place to park the trailer on and build a house on. Dad had a well drilled on it. As soon as the weather broke we started building. It was on Rt. 258 one mile west of Peoli. We lived there 10 years. My dad's health had started to deteriate and it seemed like I was going back and forth everday. So we put our house up for sale. Our second daughter', Candy Jo. was born while we lived there. We bought another mobile home and had it up the drive way from Mom and Dad. My dad passed...Expand for more
