Life I chose post secondary education after holding several very fun positions ( paramedic, mall promotions director, tree faller, home health care aide) and graduated in 1988 with an RN diploma. I worked for a year at RIH then went south to NC for 8 years. While there, I worked in all aspects of acute care including ICU's and Hospital Nursing Supervision. Got tired of that so started my own state certified home health agency. Had 32 employees and was also in school full time gettiing Bachelors degree; as well I returned to work in ICU full time. LIfe was busy! I finished my degree and began workingout. Within a year I was competing; within another year I had come three places from turning PRo in the USA. (1996). I returned to BC 1997 and began working as an ARctic Outpost Nurse. I did a stint as a Medical Officer on a coast Guard ship for 3 months in the Eastern Arctic, then followed that up with a one month contract on the recovery vessel of the Swiss Air disaster looking after the personnel sifting through debris. I returned to Kamloops (my home base) and worked in Emerg in RIH for a while. Telus picked up myoption and I began working for them in Kelowna in 1999 as their REgional Corporate Health Nurse.
