Krisi's Story
Life
Well, I live in the exact same place I did when I was in school. My husband and my oldest daughter, Courtney and I moved back here a little over three years ago. We then added another daughter to the mix, Morgan, about a year later. We stay here to take care of my Pap-paw since my Mam-maw passed away, and we are right next door to my parents, which comes in handy when we need a baby-sitter, but can be somewhat stressfull on our marriage at times. Although David and I have been together for over seven years, we just got married this year, he just stopped me in the hall one day and said, I think it's time. Who knew all it took was seven years and two kids for him to add the wedding band to the engagement ring he bought me almost seven years ago. Anyway, we are all happy and healthy, thats all that counts. I still keep in touch with the one true friend I had from high school, Kylie Pender Williams. We keep having kids at the same time, I think we are finished now. My oldest, Courtney is 7 months minus 1 day older than her daughter Katie, and her son Stone is 3 months to the day older than my youngest daughter, Morgan. That, I suppose, is my life in a nut shell. Add in a few soccer games, ballet recitals, and watching cheerleading at flag football games.
College
I went to college, Tech, for 2 quarters. I was having a lot of fun partying. I didn't do a lot of that in high school, so I guess I was making up for it. I left college to go into the military, read more in that area.
Workplace
I am an office manager for a local construction company, Bayou Builders, where my boss is the husband of my old...Expand for more
second grade teacher from Drew, Mrs. Dobernig. She was my favorite teacher of all time, and now is my favorite boss. I can't imagine leaving here, I love it. Honestly, the pay is not great, especially for all that I do, but I am happy here, and that is what counts. I have had several jobs since high school, but this is the third time I have ended up working in the office of a construction company, so I suppose it is my destiny. Although, my plans are to go back to school to become a high school English teacher, watch out Mrs. Rutledge, I am coming after your job. ;)
Military
I left college to enter into the military but never left out. I signed up with the Army, and had taken all the entrace tests, and passed my linguistics test with a perfect score. I had signed up for 5 years of active duty, going into Military Intelegence Linguistics. When I went to MEPS in Shreveport, I am probably the only person in history to have to stay for 2 days because I missed the cup when I peed, and couldn't manage to pee again. When it came time to ship out, I went to Shreveport 3 times, and each time, I was 2 pounds over weight, and they wouldn't let me leave, 2 pounds, they would have had that off of me in the first 3 hours of boot camp, but whatever. Me leaving the house 3 times with bags packed thinking I wasn't coming back for a year or more, that put a lot of strain on my Mam-maw but the last time I think she thought it had gotten somewhat humurous. After I came back the last time, my best friend took me out, and that is when I met my future husband. It was then I decided not to leave, I wanted to start a family.
