Kristie's Story
Life
I went to UNC-G for two years, then transferred to East Carolina where I graduated with a Criminal Justice degree in 1993. I went to work for the Winston-Salem Police Dept. that summer and became a police officer. I married my high school sweetheart, Travis, who became a NC State Trooper in Dec. 1993. We married while I was in rookie school in 1993. We were stationed in Gaston County from 1994-1997 when we moved back home. e moved back home, I worked for the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office as a Deputy until 1999 when I started the new Latent Evidence program at Forsyth Technical Community College. I am now the Department Chair over all the Public Safety degree programs at FTCC. I have two sons, Justice and Jake, 10 and 5 respectfully. I am still a Deputy for the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office. Travis is now a Line/Sgt. and we are stationed in Yadkin County where he is from. I went back to school and finished my Masters from ASU in 2004.
