Life
Hi, well I went off to college in Portland, Me and graduated with a degree in nutrition. Since then I have worked in a few hospitals as both Dietitian and as Food Service Director. I married Ron Mattheson (1989) and we now have two children, Mekenzie almost 4 and Elliot 11mo. So needless to say I now stay at home with the children (no mini-van though!!) and do weekend clinical coverage at a Mass hospital. Mekenzie now 5 and Elliot 22 months. Currently (Dec 6 - mid April 2002) Elliot and I are in Minneapolis where he recently underwent a bone marrow transplant for treatment of a rare genetic disease called Hurler Syndrome (MPS-1). The bone marrow (from Daddy) contained the one enzyme he was born missing and will extend his life past the predicted 4-5 years if it were untreated.
