Kristin's Story
Life
I have been married since December 06 to a wonderful, loving man who happened to have been my prom date in 1974!!
Together we have 4 children-2 sons that are grown and on their own now, 1 daughter also grown on her own, and our precious 10 year old daughter, who bring us unencompassed joy each and every day!
I've never been happier than I am right now. I've got a man who is the most special man in the world-one who loves me unconditionally, who laughs with me, cries with me, and talks with me-things I never had before.
I enjoy taking photographs of all subjects-people, scenery, and everything else in life!
We spend our time reading, talking, riding our Harley, and just being with one another.
Mountain life is wonderful and our home is beautiful. We never take our mountain community for granted. We were very lucky in that we still had a home to come back too. Many did not.
I also am on facebook. If any of you have that, please leave me a msg with your info so that I can add you as friends!! I've encountered a few with that "mountain mentality"-where they believe they're better than anyone else, and that's so not true! In reading a particular person's profile on here, I wonder if anyone really knows her-full of BS! LOL...
College
My college days were unique in that I was what was considered a "non-traditional" student-in otherwords, I was old. Sometimes eve...Expand for more
n older than some of my professors.
Spent about a year and a half at a community college in Central CA, then became a distance education student with a college in OR-finally becoming an on campus student and getting my BS degree when I was 46! Now I'll be getting my MS in about a month or so.
So I never had to bother with roomies or cafeteria food. Spent most of the time studying right at home-while tending to my daughter and keeping house the whole time.
I would love to hear from old classmates- even if you were a classmate of one of my older brothers, David (1964Wilson) or Tim (1966), please get in touch, okay? Not that I talk with either of them that much, but I do remember most of their friends.
I also am qualified to substitute teach at my daughter's school.
Workplace
After high school, I did the usual trying to "find myself" routine. Went through a variety of different jobs-banking, nursing (nurses aide), working in a health club. Spent an interesting year as a social worker in CA, then moved to MT and became an assistant manager for the only retail store in the town, ran a private daycare for special needs babies, went back to banking, then finally to college. Was a legal assistant for almost three years, and am now a homemaker-enjoying the time off with my family-making sure that they're taken care of in every way.
I am a Junior Girl Scout leader as well.
