Kristin's Story
Life
I moved from my beloved Annapolis, with my husband Duke in May 2007 to Rock Hill, SC. Rock Hill is about 30 miles from Charlotte, NC. My older sister Patricia moved there in 1972. Since then another sister, two brothers and my mother have moved there. I have one sister still in MD. It's a slower pace with a warmer climate. I will miss Annapolis and running into old classmates, but will visit often.
Over the years I have traveled as far north as Labrador, Canada; as far east as Switzerland; as far south as Belize, Central America; and as far west as California, with stops at London, Ireland, Germany, the Bahamas, Jamaica, St. Croix, & Cancun. One of the advantages of being single ALL THOSE YEARS.
Just got married in 1998 at age 50 to Duke Kessling (class 1965). My first marraige and his ... well..., I was not his first. But I am his last! Duke has a daughter, Elizabeth and now we have a granddaughter, Leta born 3/17/05 and two grandsons. The first, Kenneth born 10/12/06 and Noah b...Expand for more
orn 02/26/08. I have no children.
I love pets, we have 5 cats and a dog that we rescued from Belize during hurricane Emily. And we named her Emily.
I'm now retired , if you want to call it that. I am on Disabilty now since Nov. 2003. as I was diagnosis with Parkinson's disease in 2001. Since then I devote my time to my oil painting, occasionally enjoying vacations in Belize. I paint from photographs of vacation favorites and also do paintings to match children's themes for their rooms. The Thomas Point Lighthouse as see above was displayed in Feb. 2006 at the World Parkinson's Congress at the Washington, DC Convention Center. To see my photos of paintings e-mail me. I also write poetry and make personal greeting cards for family & friends.
I worked 27 yrs for Woodies, in several locations around the beltway including D.C. and Hechts, Annapolis Mall for 7 yrs. I also worked for Nationwide Ins. Co from 1966-74. Now you have read my story I'd like to read about you. It's not that hard.
