Kristin's Story
Life
Where to start...
I feel far away from the small town of Oakley,California.
After High school I worked for Disneyland in Southern California for about 17 years on and off. Traveling all over the world representing one of the most recognizable icons ever. It had it's ups and downs, mostly ups, great stories, fun times, wonderful experiences. The downs were all about 17-20 hour days in a dark theater somewhere in the middle of nowhere or traveling through airports pulling something behind me. But I can't complain, I've been to nearly every continent(working on getting to the ones I haven't seen)and every state in the US except for Alaska, Montana and Wyoming.
I married the man of my dreams and have two beautiful step daughters (one of which just got married). I have a very loyal dog, many friends, a loving family and a promising future, you can't ask for more than that.
I finally finished my degree (gawd that took way too long) and since I'm a glutton for punishment am now working on my Masters.
I refer to myself as a jack of all trades but Master of none because I've tried it all (hopefully preparing me to be my own boss one day). From my first job as a Boat cleaner (scraping barnacles off of the bottom of boats) to a Production Manager at an independent clothing line. I ...Expand for more
guess I am a bit fickle but I call myself curious. Some other jobs I've had: Fabric cutter, Costume Buyer,Dresser, Costumer, Costume Designer, Safety trainer, Stage Manager, Production Assistant, Tour Manager, Wedding Planner, Party Coordinator, Open-water Lifeguard, Scuba Instructor, Drama teacher, Recreation leader, Technical writer, Barista, Camp counselor, Fundraiser, Volunteer, Ad agency (Account Executive)and currently worker as a Field Manager at a small Environmental/ Safety company.
More recently I lost my mother to Alzheimers and since have been kinda looking for the meaning of life or rather my meaning in particular. Overall, I came to discover I want my friends, my past co-workers, my fellow volunteers and the people I have cared about in my life to know how special they have been. I try to learn something new everyday but today as I write this and visit the past, I realize two things: One, I am an appallingly bad speller and this site doesn't have spell check (which apparently instead of learning to spell, I have come to rely on) and Two, that I have learned something (good and bad)from everyone in my life that I have ever come in contact with and I appreciate it. So thank you if I have ever come in contact with you.
Lastly, come to my Facebook if you want to say hi:)
