Kristy's Story
Life
I went in the Navy after high school. Met my husband there and we have been married 13 years. Three children, 9,7, and 3. We live in Florida now and I work with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. I never made it to college sometimes wish I had. I helped my husband with his plumbing business until we both got jobs with the BOP. We have been foster parents, lived in Kentucky for 10 years, and are involved in the church ministry. I missed are reunions and hope we have a 20 year so I can see everyone again.
Workplace
After the Navy I worked in a daycare, helped with the family plumbing business, worked in an engine/transmission repair shop for rigs, and was a stay at home mom.
Military

nd my schooling in Chicago. Was stationed in Charleston, SC on a ship. I repaired equipment on submarines when they came into port. We changed homeports to Guam in 92. The ocean is beautiful when you are underway and there is nothing on the horizon but skyline. I met Phillip, my husband, while in the Navy and we got married over in Guam on. I spent four years in and then came back to Kentucky. Met a lot of neat people while we were in. It was a great time and I would do it all over again if I had the chance. Here's to all of you who did a stint in the military. There is a comraderie there that those who have not been in cannot understand. And to those of you still in the military, I support you 100 percent and say THANKS for keeping the free in freedom.
