Kris's Story

Life Hmmm let me see, my life bio.. well, gee that's a 40 million word essay right there just beggin' to be written... NOT!!! I'm still (underline, italicize, bold fonts) in Colorado for some ghastly and insane reason. UPDATE 2010 I'm no longer at Metro, but I will be receiving my degree from Arapahoe Community College at the end of the Fall Semester 2010. New Update as of Sept. 2010, I am right now out of school for the foreseeable future, but am not by any means done with it. I am down to one putty tat, (update on putty tat, she's sick and won't be around much longer, sadly, but then again, she is 19), I had to put one down in 2007 and my other one will be probably be going that way this year sometimes as she's almost 20 and her health is starting to fail (how do I know? she's becoming clingy! hey, she's a siamese!) It has now been 5 years since the death of my father and one month since the sudden death of my kid brother. (He died suddenly of an accidental over dose on 12 December 2009 at the age of 39.) He's no longer in chronic pain and he's no longer plagued with the problems of uncontrollable diabetes, so I am settled by his death given the way it happened. I'm still living with my mother, mostly because of my health (I'm still working on getting my epilepsy under control, and hopefully I'll be hearing from Social Security very soon as it's been almost 2 years since I first applied and almost 16 months since I was denied. If i don't hear soon, I'm going to fire my attorney, call a different one and re-apply if necessary. I...Expand for more
really need to get the insurance that comes with social security because I can't get insurance in this state with this pre-existing condition. (go figure!) UPDATE: Got SSI in August, it started 1 September 2010 and Medicaid is just around the corner! I've now lost 45 lbs and still losing! and am off all Diabetic medications!! YEA!!!! The drug trial I was in last year didn't work as all it did was made me very cranky and even I didn't want to be around me. And it increased seizure activity. drug to treat the type of seizures I have so I'm taking less meds instead of more. 17 is just too many in my opinion. I'm still working on my CIS degree and am a year away from it (the seizures cost me almost a years' worth of classes). Wish me luck! I have a plethora of other things going on in my life, including saving for a trip to the UK in December and some major changes in my life that my closest friends know about that include changing the spelling of my name and some other things. Anyone interested in hearing that story, drop me a line, I'm more than happy to share. May 28, 2012 Newest update: Am totally out of putty tats, Mouse, my Siamese passed Spring of 2010. May of 2011 my Grandmother pased peacefully in her sleep just a few days after her 90th birthday. I'm finally back in school after a two year break. I'm now down 70 lbs with another 60 to go. Never made it to the UK, yet. But my name change happened, well, the spelling of my name changed A lot of other changes have happened too, drop me a line and I'll share them with you.
