Krystle(Thomas)'s Story
Life
Most people probably do not remember me as I wasn't what you'd call a social butterfly. I married in 1978 and have two wonderful daughters, ages 38 & 41, as well as five beautiful grandchildren. In recent years my life has taken a rather drastic turn which led to my divorce in 2000. It was then that I also changed my name from Thomas J. to Krystle Alexis Hannigan, so that it would better fit my truer identity and current gender role. My ex and I still remain close, but our split facilitated my move from NH to MA. I underwent gender reassignment surgery in 2003. In 2004 I pursued education once again with the goal of a total career change. I went from working in electronics to being an esthetician. After several years living in Georgia, I returned to New Hampshire, where I ended up working for Walmart as a customer service manager. I recently retired.
School
I was pretty much a bit of a geek in high school. I was clueless about so many things, especially girls and simply how to interact with people. I wasn't as involved, or even aware, of school activities as I wish I had been. Rather than join school related groups I spent most of my outside time working.
Workplace

a year in a cabinet factory on the packing line. After attending a vocational school I started a career as a PCB designer. My first job was at GRI Computer, followed by 2.5 yrs as a contact employee at Northern Telecom, 3M Linolex and finally starting as a contractor for Modicon. I went direct at Modicon in 2000 and have seen it's ownership and name change many times in the past 24+ years. I left the company(now called Schneider Electric) in July 2004 to pursue my education as an esthetician on a full time basis. I finished my training in Dec. 2004 and began my new career in March 2005. Since then I have worked at More Than Hair Day Spa, in Dracut, MA, Ulta Salon in Alpharetta, GA, Jazmin Spa in Decatur, GA and Henry James Salon in Atlanta. I left Georgia in 2002 and returned to New Hampshire. After working for Walmart, I retired in Jan. of 2018.
I don't even know if anyone from my old days even remembers me. If anyone does I'd be interested in hearing what your impression of me was back then. or even what it is now. Two of the people I hung out with most were Jim Daly and Ralph Powers. If anyone knows what became of them, please drop me a line. They are the closest things I had to friends back then.
