Kurt's Story
Life
I graduated from Juneau-Douglas (Alaska) High School in 1979. I then attended Oregon State University on a Navy ROTC scholarship 1979-1983, graduating with a BS in Computer Science. Spent 6-1/2 years in the active duty Navy. 1985-1987 on USS Hawkbill, SSN 666, stationed in Pearl Harbor HI. Went on deployments to Thailand, Japan, Philippines, North Pole. Then 1...Expand for more
987-1989 teaching tactical warfare at Bangor Submarine Base (Washington). Met my wife Teresa and married 1989. Got a job as IBM Systems Engineer in Costa Mesa CA 1989-1992. Our son Sean was born 1990. Moved back home to Bellevue WA 1992. Have worked for IBM Seattle, WRQ (Reflection software), and now Facilities Manager at Saint Andrew's Lutheran Church Bellevue WA.
