Kurt's Story
Life
After Completing 22 years in the U.S. Navy, I retired on August 1996 as a Senior Chief Petty Officer (E-8). during my military career I was stationed on five ships and made eight deployments overseas. My shore tours were NAS Brunswick Maine, NAS Bermuda, and NAS Norfolk Virginia. After retirement I worked for a defence contracter for about a year, but got tired of all the travel.

I spent a year with the Virgina State Capitol Police, and then 8 years with the Richmond Virgina Police Department. I now work for Chesterfield County Virginia Police Department. I am married, my wife Valorie is also a retired Chief Petty Officer. We have two children. Our oldest Kristina, is a teacher in Virginia Beach, VA and she has given us four grandchildren Tyler and Noah, Emi, and Ren, Bryan has given us two Kyle and Auston.
