Plot of temperature of room and must over time. I added the chiller at the second data point. I lowered the temperature to 59 degrees later on and then to 56 degrees just after that to slow the fermentation.
I was a bit alarmed after the fermentation enter the log (exponential) phase when the brix dropped 2.5 in a 12 hour period, so that is when I lowered the temperature to 59 and then to 56 degrees.
Di-Ammonium Phosphate for yeast nutrition. I it dissolved in water and poured the solution into the must today. You can see my log book for my wine making under the flask.
Todays brix was about 13. It has been declining about 1 brix every 12 hours for the last couple of days or so. This will start slowing down and I will probably be adjusting the temperature upwards as this occurs.
Fermentation vessel with rerouted decongested plumbing. Plan to add a header tank to the pump inlet loop to assist in priming and air bubble purging at setup. For now it works fine without, so this is a future modificatio
The heat exchanger is in a cold water bath inside an old refrigerator that we use when we run out of space in our main refrigerator. and yes, I drilled two 1/2" holes in the left side for chiller plumbing.
Left rear brake with new shoes and a new wheel cylinder. I replaced both rear brakes of course.
New rear brake drums are installed on both sides.
Before connecting the master cylinder to the rest of the system, I had Sharon Elaine Radcliffe help me purge the master cylinder of all air bubbles. This took a while (like 45 minutes) but made the rest of the bleeding pro
New steel brake line from master cylinder to the left front brake.
New flex brake line on left fron disk brake.
New linf from master cylinder to right front brake caliper. The person who had the car before me hacked a hole in the cross member for unknown reasons.
This is the descending portion of the brake line from the master cylinder to the right front caliper.
This is a residual pressure valve that Wilwood requires in front disk, rear drum installations.
Flex line for the right front caliper.
I replaced my flaring tool that I bought in the late 1970s with this Lisle tool. It was awesome doing perfect double flares in less than 5 minutes.
