Kyle's Story
Life
I have been married since March 3, 2003. My first son was born on May 21, 2005 and my second son was born on Oct 21, 2009.
Military
17 Aug 1997 headed off to Parris Island, SC were I was with K Co 3rd Bn Plt 3098 for three months. Then I went to Field Radio Operators school in 29 Palms CA. In April 1998 I was stationed with Hq Btry 10th Mar Regiment, Communications Plt at Camp Lejeune, NC until July 2001. In Feb 2001 I reenlisted for four more years. On 12 July 2001 I was on my way to Camp Fuji, Japan where I was stationed for 2 years working first in the Range Control Office than I was moved to the Company Office. I have completed Sergeants Course in Okinawa, Japan. I left Camp Fuji on 31 Oct 03. went up the street to VMU-1 were I am the Radio Chief. I have complete two tours to Iraq. In 2009 I was assigned to 1st Bn 1st Marines as the assistant Radio Chief. In Feb 2012-Sept 2012 our Bn was attached to the 13th MEU. I was on the USS BOXER during the 7 month float. I was assign as the Communications Chief for Hq Co, the line companies and artillery battery attached to our Bn. I got to have a brief stay in Djibouti, Africa, Salalah, Oman twice, Phuket, Thailand and Hong Kong, China. We also stopped in Guam and Hawaii on the way there and back. I also got shellbacked while crossing the equator near Thailand. On March 31, 2014 after 16 Years and 7 months I turned in my papers to do the early retirement. I still miss being in the Marines, but I will always be a Marine until the day I die. Semper Fi!
