Kyle's Story
Hey, It's me....Kenneth Kyle Jackson....my Dad was Kenneth Gene Jackson...involved heavily under Barringer in the pawn shop business with 84 pawn shops. Between that, and my own interest since I was a kid in finding and tumbling rocks, I became a jeweler at the suggestion of my Waco buddy Steven D. Schwarz, after I broke my leg and didn't know what I was going to do. For a while before that, I worked for Campbell Soup. I lived between my Mom's house in Dickinson, Texas....Mary Lou Jackson, with my sister Kim. I have two half sisters also, Tami and Jimi Lou. I also stayed in Austin with my grandma, RIP, Pearl Jackson, and my Dad and his second wife, Dodi Jackson.
I've got tons of relatives in Texas and many fond memories of both Dickinson and Austin High Schools. I'd love to hear from anybody who reads this and remembers me!!!!
I joined the USMC at the age of 17 and trained at Paris Island, and got an early honorable discharge.
I then attended Paris Institue of Jewelry Technology.
I met my wife, Sandra Kay Shepard Jackson, when she and I both were at a club in Dallas called Papaguyo's. She liked my dance skills. Among other things. lol We have now been together since 8/22/81 and have three boys of our own, Kenny, age 24, my junior, Travis, age 23, and Nick, age 18. We traveled alot with my wife or ...Expand for more
my jobs, including living in Texas, Florida, Maryland, Ohio, and Colorado. Our two youngest boys were in Baltimore County with us since Nick was in 4th grade so they have girlfriends and friends there and are currently living there. My wife's father passed last year and we are in Ohio living in that home. I lost my Dad several years back after a heart transplant went bad during a routine checkup. I lost my MauMau who was very very close to me, and my Granny Rosie, Dodi's Mom.
Life is short....nothing ventured nothing gained...I have done multiple successful and interesting positions within the jewelry industry.
Well, enough about me....I hope to hear from some of you.
Kyle.
I always wanted to be a rock star when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were reasonable.
My favorite way to relax is with a cold drink in a cool room-- if it's hot it's GOT to be cold inside my room, and I like to just plop on my fifteen pillows and watch movies.
My hero is definitely Jesus. I believe God knows everything that you are going to die up to the way and when you leave this world and move on. I am absolutely a Christian.
I always wanted to be a rock & roll star when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were right.
