Kyle's Story
Life
Went to college, I loved Abilene. Beautiful, quiet, calming. You don't get ulcers there except from some barbeque maybe. *grins* After that I moved to Waxahachie, did some youth ministry, then moved to Denver, CO and went to Seminary. Could only afford a year of it until I had to leave. I'm back in the Metroplex now, for the most part. Traveling all the time. Got married February 21, 2004. ...can't forget that date, ya get in trouble by 'She Who Must be Obeyed'. *laughs* My wife's name is Amber and she travels with me while I work. It's a good life, and I'm loving living it. I do plan to flow back into Youth Ministry one day, but the call of Credit Cards from Seminary debt is just too strong to ingore. So, that's what's happened in a nutshell.
School
After TCA, I went to HSU, achieved my undergraduate in Behavioural Science with a minor in Business Admin. I also attended and have about 30hrs of Graduate work in Youth and Family Ministry under my belt at Denver Seminary. All my friends from college are pretty much my friends from Highschool, which were friends from church. I keep in touch with the majoirty of my friends even today.
College
After finishing HSU I went to Waxahachie, TX and did a youth internship and in fall of 2001 moved to Denver, CO. There I attended Denver Seminary and became an active member in the street church "Scum of the Eart...Expand for more
h". In 2002 I left seminary and began work for Farmers Insurance. Found Amber Fetty in 2004 and thought she needed a different last name, so I gave her Amber Scaggs and now people call her my wife. I proposed to her at Homecoming-eve 2004 on HSU campus on Centennial Square. Life is good, no kiddos yet.
Workplace
The Farmers Insurance National Catastrophe Team. Yearly we sign a contract that gives our life to a company... for money. It's not a bad gig, really. I travel nation-wide following all the major hail/wind/fire type storms and write up property damage then issue checks. Good points are that a) I make my own schedule b) get to work outdoors c) get to see the United States. 2003 was a busy year. I went from Austin, Texas to Seattle, Wasthington... from Virgina Beach, Virgina to San Diego, California. I worked Hurricane Isabelle, the Califronia fires, and Tornados in Missouri. Looking back, it really is an exciting and rewarding job. The downside is that a) I never get to see my friends, my dog, or my home. Vacation is getting to GO home for a week... definately not traveling. The company pays for hotels wherever I'm at, and so I'm sure every day is like a vacation for my wife! She gets to travel with me. Though she misses our house some too. So, that's my job. Feel free to ask me any homeowners insurance questions, the policies are all the same :)
