Kymi's Story
Life
I was born in Indiana, lived in Centerville and then Yorktown, IN. (I can't imagine anyone from Indiana remembers me, since I was pretty shy, but would love to hear from anyone who does.) We moved to Florida where I started my eigth grade year at Inverness Middle School, then on to Citrus High.
I went to CFCC for my AA in fine arts and then to Tampa for my degree in graphic design and advertising. Moved to the Keys in 89, met my husband, Kenny Hum down there (who actually went to Citrus High also) got married in '92. Ken was a charter boat captain for 17 years and I got to go fishing for blue marlin, white marlin and sailfish etc in many exotic places, like the Bahamas, Turks ...Expand for more
and Caicos, Venezuela, Portorico, San Salvadore and St. Thomas. We left the Keys during Hurricane Andrew and went out to Wyoming for six months. We loved it out there but making a living was a different story so we ended up back in the Keys until we moved back to Citrus County in '96.
I own a sign business called Vital Signs by Kymi, where I do computer graphics, design and digital printing on just about anything.
We live out in the mini-farms where we have a Great Dane and lots of chickens.
My husband and I love to hunt, camp, go 4-wheeling, gem digging and panning for gold, we have a lease in Georgia and one in Gulf Hammock where we spend alot of our spare time doing just that.
