Lainie Nelson (Alan Neel):  

I have changed both my name and gender. I am now a female person named Lainie Nelson, a transexual woman. My epiphany came on July 2, 2007 when I realized that I had been a female person in a male body all of my life. So thus began my 3rd life in this incarnation. My 2nd one began on Dec 12,2004 when I died and came back due to my own planning of surrounding events. It was a heart attack caused by a poisoning 14yrs earlier that damaged my heart. Today and as of April 2007, my most loved thing is dancing. One band leader even called me the Queen of the Suncoast, the casino where I dance. I can dance five hours straight and the 20 and 30 yr olds that dance with me have to quit after one dance. One of my biggest surprises in my change is that I am a beautiful woman, I am told this even by strangers, so I finally accepted that I am, after not believing it for a while. I have taught instrumental music to people of any age from 5 up since 1989 over 800 students to date and play 23 instruments. I had a career of engineering in electrical, mechanical and plumbing engineering as well as structural and architectural to a limited extent. I was division manager for the Electrical Contracting Division for a firm in Stockton and Modesto for 6yrs and then had my own engineering business in Modesto for 14years. I have written and published songs and poems. Would like to hear from any I knew in San Jacinto. As of the first writing of this I have been 73 for a week, but everyone takes me for 42 lucky me. Now at 77 they take me to be 55, time flies! My first wife was the mother of my 3 children we divorced after 26 years. My second wife was with me 4 years and died suddenly in 1989. My 3rd wife and I were together from 1995 to 2000, but remained friends and lovers until my gender change which she can't handle. I now have a 36yr old tgirl companion I live with. Her name is Cynthia. We have been together now for 6 years. My oldest daughter is a registered civil engineer in Texas and California and was the code enforcing authority for dangerous buildings in Caldwell Texas for about 5 years. She was also the Chief Structural Engineer for Mt. Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles for nearly 20 yrs. My 2nd daughter is in N. Hollywood and works in television. She is a Texas U grad and my first dtr is an A & M grad. My son the youngest is in a San Diego suburb where he and his wife have lived for many years. I have one grandson now 12yrs old, born on St. Pat's day in 2000. My hobby besides dancing is photography and model railroading. I like to paint and letter the cars and locomotives. I have a huge 3 layer 11ft x 6ft layout in my living room. (Actually it IS the living room). I built it all myself and wired it for automatic signals at switches and remote switching and power controls. So I am now in 2012 gosh, 77 years old, hard to believe and my oldest child is now 53. I still think I am younger than my kids. 2012 update: I am now planning to dance nearly every night on my week off, with my favorite band, 360 at the Las Vegas Gold Coast.
