Lanae's Story
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have good salary, creative atmosphere, and relaxed work environment to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
I always wanted to be a writer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a poor choice idea. As it turns out, they were incorrect.
My hero is Don Storey. He was a true friend when I had noone else to talk to. He was supportive and believed in me and taught me how to believe in myself.
I've stayed in the Houston area mostly because I had no reason to leave.
The one person I would like to reconnect with is James Valentine. I'm curious as to what has happened to him.
I'm probably more obsessive than I'd care to admit. Perhaps that's because I believe that balance is important in life and that perhaps "obs...Expand for more
essive" means being a bit unbalanced.
My biggest surprise in life has been meeting someone over the internet from another country and actually getting married to them. Now don't jump to conclusions. We were introduced by a mutual friend and after a few weeks of e-mails and a couple months of 3-hour long-distance phone calls every evening we met in person and the rest is history. A whirlwind romance, yes. A mistake, no. I've learned a lot about myself through my marriage. We'll have been married for six years as of this July.
What I'd most like to do now is retire and start a new career. If I won the lottery I'd travel and spend my time creating art and composing music.
My worst fear is that I'd never be able to retire and that I would end up as a WalMart greeter.
