Lance's Story
Misc. details about me... in a rough sketch. After graduating from OSU in '86, I worked for Agency Rent-a-Car. Became a manager, and moved to Mansfield, Ohio. That lasted about a year and a half or so. I moved back home (My grandparent's place, now long sold: 93 W. Grandville Rd/ 161). I eventually got a job waiting tables/Bartending at the now defunct chain "Black Angus". Well, it went out of business in the place I used to work at anyway. I met Steven Milford there, an actor/improv-person, and he got a gig teaching at Second-City in Chicago, and so I moved to Chicago with him. (I had a friend there at U of C: Steven Clark if you remember, and my step-sister also lived there.) I waited tables, started and lost a theater. (If you saw MTV's "Real life" in Chicago, that was my old apartment/theater). I got laid off a couple of months later. I then went to get my sommelier's certification, and went onto managing a restaurant on the Upper East Side, where I met Karina. I left the restaurant, and went on a 13 hour date with Karina, and we moved in a couple of months later. Since then we've married, started a small business, and had Max. Then, I had brain surgery (all of that within a year or so, keep in mind). I still teach. Write, in spare moments, and am trying to learn Russian (my 3rd foreign language). My wife is Armenian (former Soviet Union), so she, my son, and mother-in-law (who lives with us) all speak Russian. As so most of our friends. So....
