Larry Adams:  

Life Just to let everyone know a little about me. I was born on June 18, 1950, in Salem, Ohio. I graduated from Salem Senior High in June 1969 and enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps in July 1969. On September 5, 1972, I married my first wife, Fe Flores Rubio, in Salem, Ohio. On July 7, 1973, my oldest daughter, Shawn-Marie, was born in Toms River, New Jersey. On April 17, 1977, my identical twin daughters, Sham-Mayne and Shiana-Mai, at Long Beach, California. Four months later, my daughter, Shiana-Mai, died from SIDS (Crib Death). On August 15, 1980, I divorced my first wife. In July 1982, while stationed in the Philippines, I met and married my present wife, Angelina (Angel) Yanguas Beltran, on April 18, 1985. I was a single-parent Marine for 6 1/2 years prior to getting married to Angel. I retired from the U. S. Marine Corps on September 30, 1989, and returned to Salem, Ohio. After my retirement, I worked at various jobs. In 1992 went to the Salem Police Academy in Salem, Ohio, and became a police officer in Leetonia, Ohio, and with the Salem Auxiliary Police Officer in Salem, Ohio. I enrolled in Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio in 1995 and received my Bachelor of Arts degree in History and another in Political Science in 2002. After I was almost killed in the line of duty, I resigned as a police officer. I worked for the Veterans Service Commission in Lisbon, Ohio until October 1998, when I resigned to pursue my education full-time. After graduation from Youngstown State University, I worked for the Boardman Township Park Commission. I moved to California in December 2004 to work for the California Department of Human Services- Medi-Cal in Oceanside, California. I resigned from my position in Medi-Cal in January 2006 to obtain employment aboard Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, California. In 2010, I retired from working and returned to the Philippines to live and where I still reside. My biggest crush in high school was a friend of the family, Billie Marriner. My most enjoyable moment was when she allowed me to walk her from school. My favorite and most inspiring teacher was Walter "Bing" Newton. Through his guidance and friendship, he lead me away from the life of crime and gangs. He was my track coach throughout the school years. As for my high school years, I wouldn't change a thing because those years helped to define who I am today.
